An innovative and proactive food service partner to drive quality improvements and cost savings across their Head Office estate in Edinburgh serving 7,000 customers. Standard Life was looking for experts committed to enhancing the customer’s experience and improving the perception of workplace catering as a real employee benefit.
How did we help?
We focused on driving cultural change towards a more customer friendly service through specialist training of our new teams. We also re-branded all catering facilities creating an inviting ambience to help us compete against the high street. To invigorate our chefs’ desire to improve food design we sent them to a cook school run by Scottish celebrity chef, Nick Nairn. That way our chefs brought fresh ideas back to benefit our customers. Inspiration didn’t stop there! We introduced a marketing calendar to drive the use of the finest seasonal ingredients. We also turned a listening ear to our client holding regular meetings in an open partnership agreement. This enabled us to better understand their objectives and proactively manage our joint business challenges.
The results?
Our focus on enhancing customer experience had a huge impact on customer perception of our service. This has generated a growing interest amongst Standard Life employees enabling us to significantly increase sales. And we’ve only just started…
