Warburtons

What was Warburtons looking for?

Our customer had recently bought an empty bakery in Stockton on Tees, and needed a team to carry out a fast-track roof refurbishment so that bread production could start there imminently.

How did we help?

The tight schedule for opening the site meant that stripping the entire roof and renewing it was not a viable option, so our team offered advice and innovative solutions to meet and exceed our client’s objectives.

We removed the existing felt roofing and insulation and installed an overcladding system onto the existing roof deck. This meant that the rest of the refurbishment work inside could carry on uninterrupted while we took care of the roof, helping to keep our customer’s production programme on track.

As well as fitting new gutters, downpipes and insulation, we also installed Corus roof sheets. Our status as Corus-approved Platinum contractors meant that Warburtons benefited from a 12-year warranty, which is only available from endorsed installers.

The result?

The new roof and overcladding not only improved the look of the site, it also ensured that the building is insulated and watertight - a vital consideration for businesses involved in manufacturing food. All this was done to time and to budget, and allowed our client to start bread production as planned.
