What was our client looking for?

Beaconhurst School is an independent modern primary and secondary
school for male and female students aged 3 to 18 years. Based at Bridge
of Allan in Scotland, the school has stood at this site since 1919 and prides
itself on being able to offer its pupils the very best in terms of teaching and
facilities. With 400 students using the building on a daily basis, the building
needed an overhaul to get it back into top condition - crucial for attracting
and retaining new students.

Beaconhurst School wanted to repaint the entire exterior of the original
main school building, the interior communal areas and to fully redecorate
the headmaster’s office. It was looking for an affordable way to give school
the refurbishment it needed whilst still maintaining a high standard of work.

How did we help?

The challenge for MITIE was to deliver what the client wanted at the
right price, whilst still meeting their long-term needs. MITIE’s programmed
painting service proved the perfect solution – enabling Beaconhurst School
to manage the cost of the project without compromising on quality. The
structure of the service meant the client could carry out all the essential
works in year one, but spread the cost of the works over 6 years. The service
also includes a yearly refresh, perfect for keeping the school looking at its
absolute best, all year round.

Beaconhurst School chose MITIE, not only because of our ability to deliver

their long-term painting requirements at the right cost, but also because

of our flexibility and experience. Due to the school’s tight schedule, the

painting team only had a very limited time in which to carry out the works.

Through careful planning and clear communication the team was able to

deliver the work, on time, to a satisfied client.
