Cat B design & Build fit out

What was our client looking for?

Deloitte were looking for a contractor who could design and fit out their

offices on the 3rd floor of Trinity Gardens in Newcastle. Covering 13,000 sq ft,

the programme lasted 21 weeks and was valued at £1.5m.

How did we help?

MITIE worked to a very fast design and procurement period, and pre-ordered

the critical plant and equipment to ensure we could meet the

clients’ deadline. We installed new internal glazed partitions with single

and double glazed high acoustic performance glass. Modifications were

made to sprinkler, fire alarm, lighting control and the BMS system to suit new

layouts.

New specialist and general joiners were manufactured including breakout

areas, stone flooring, reception desk and door frames, soft flooring and

decorations. New voice and data, audio visual and security control systems

were installed.

The formation of a supply and extract riser went through floors occupied by

other tenants, so this work was completed outside of normal working hours.

The results

With a short lead in period and the design development taking place

during the procurement phase, the programme of works were completed

within time and budget.

A close working relationship with the clients retained design team ensured

that the design intent was followed and installed, providing Deloitte with a

high spec, functional office they can be proud of.

MITIE have also carried out work to four other Deloitte offices including

London and Bristol.
