MITIE provides total facilities management services to world-leading marine training centre in Ålesund, Norway
What was our client looking for?
A world-leading marine training centre, which occupies six floors over 23,600m2 and accommodates up to 900 people, was looking for a partner to deliver Integrated FM. MITIE was selected by the developer for the innovative approach demonstrated in the provision of an integrated Total Facilities Management solution.
How did we help?
We deploy a dedicated team for the NMK to provide the level of management and quality required for the location. We are working closely with our subcontractor for access control & security systems management.
MITIE will also lease space within the building to operate a commercial catering service for the building’s tenants. The space will include a restaurant, coffee bar, hospitality for the training centre (soon to be launched) and catering for special events.
A key part of this contract is the provision of a commercial catering facility for the location. MITIE operates a catering solution available to all tenants on site and incorporating a coffee bar and hospitality service for the training centre. MITIE will serve an anticipated 900 employees and delegates each day.
MITIE is self-delivering the TFM and commercial sales/marketing operation on site, leveraging the ‘Ingredients’ brand. We have collaborated with local Norwegian suppliers to deliver the design and build services for the catering facilities and to provide the coffee bar equipment and supplies.
