Built-up felt system
Roof light renewal
Smoke ventilation units
What was the client looking for?
The Langstone Building, comprised of lecture rooms and accommodation, is part of the University of Portsmouth property portfolio. The roof had suffered damage due to inclement weather in February 2014, resulting in a loss approximately 350 square metres of the roof. It required a completed strip and re-cover to the existing substrate.
How did we help?
Mitie was appointed as principle contractor to install a new Bauder roof system with a 20 year warranty over an area totalling 960 square metres. The project also involved the renewal of existing roof lights and smoke ventilation units.
A complete roof refurbishment carried out within a 12-week programme, providing a 20 year warranty.
