What was CEM Systems looking for?
Part of Tyco, CEM Systems is a leading provider of advanced access control and integrated security management systems that help secure premises and facilities, such as several international airports.
Based in Belfast, their building houses their teams who design and manufacture through to maintenance and support services. The four-storey, hi-technology building is the hub of their business with a large amount of valuable equipment and intellectual property and is secured with their own access control systems. They wanted a security partner who could provide physical support for their electronic measures and chose MITIE because of the relationship we had built up from working with them in our London region.
How did we help?
From our integrated range of security services we were able to work with CEM Systems in providing the additional layer of security they needed. We work on a completely flexible basis, and open and close their building at whatever times their business activity needs. We check the building on opening it to make sure it is safe and carry out the final physical checks before it is locked at night. These include; making sure the building is empty, checking for fire hazards and setting the intruder alarm. The team are also on call to respond to an alarm activation outside of their business hours.
We provide the client with a flexible way of working – we don’t offer a rigid service and work with the client to deliver the services they need without having a negative impact on their business operations. Having peace of mind that our response team is just around the corner to respond to an alarm activation means our client can get a good night’s sleep!
