TNT is a global transportation and distribution business, delivering time critical documents and parcels for its customers at the right time and the right place.
TNT wanted to work with a specialist security company – a market leader able to offer not just manpower but additional specialist security services when required to support their corporate security team. TNT also wanted to benefit from a supplier with a national footprint and the ability to cover sites from Scotland down to the South-West of England, but at the same time offer a local service to each depot manager.
We’ve worked with TNT since 2004 and continued to demonstrate a flexible approach to meeting their security needs. In 2007 the company was working with 23 security providers but has since consolidated to two suppliers – enabling them to manage the service more effectively and increase the consistency across their locations.
TNT has expanded its contract with MITIE thanks to our ability to continuously demonstrate high service performance across the current portfolio. A strong partnership between the customer and our local management team meant we are able to fully understand TNT’s operation and gain an important level of trust to meet each site’s requirements.
What’s more, we are able to provide short-term cover over busy seasonal periods. Site trained and licensed officers are used to offer additional support on an ad-hoc basis.
