Our commitment to health and safety
Health and safety is one of the most important factors on any contract and one we take very seriously at MITIE. Every contract is reviewed by our Senior Management team with a focus on the health and safety aspect of the project.
We have achieved ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 accreditations and developed our procedures to ensure compliance and continuous improvement against these accreditations.

Focus on the environment
A fresh approach goes along way when it comes to creating sustainable environments. In every aspect of the project we continually combine resource efficiencies with environmentally aware practices. Where possible, we’ll influence the design process to ensure minimal use of resources and minimal impact to the environment. We include sustainability requirements in all of our tenders and for every project we’ll produce a sustainability report which will summarise all environmental impacts and identify ways we could reduce or eliminate them. As part of this report we’ll also identify opportunities for environmental improvement and best practice.
