Accreditations

MITIE is a member of the National Federation of Roofing Contractors. This is the Trade Association for bona-fide roofing contractors and only 15% of the country’s roofers are members of this association. Safety & training

Whether your business is staying operational during the re-roofing project or not, you’ll want to know that your property’s in safe hands. Our commitment to safety is reflected in everything we do: from the training we provide and the risk assessments we carry out, to the equipment we use and the safety supervisors we employ.

We constantly review our safety policies and procedures, make sure our people understand them and comply with the relevant regulations every step of the way. Whatever roofing work we’re doing, our people have been fully trained in roofing safety through the dozens of courses, including the following:

• CITB skill card certification roofing and cladding;
• CITB construction site safety awareness;
• Access safety for working at heights;
• Mobile elevating platforms scissors and booms certification;
• Telescopic forklift licensing; and
• Abrasive wheel training.

We also invest in training our people to help update their technical skills, to make sure our business is bang up-to-date with the latest roofing methods and technologies. This means we can tackle pretty much anything that’s thrown at us – and what we don’t know about roofing and cladding isn’t really worth knowing.
