The Mitie Foundation is an independent charity, focused on creating opportunities for people of all backgrounds to join the world of work, by raising aspirations and unlocking people’s true potential. It was set up to bring together Mitie’s community engagement activities, as well as develop new programmes aligned to its vision.

The Foundation’s approach is to work in partnership with like-minded organisations as well as harness Mitie’s workforce, to add value and make a sustainable difference in our local communities. We actively seek partners to work with and do not accept any unsolicited applications.

The Foundation's work centres around three main areas of focus:

Mitie’s volunteering programme has been aligned with the Foundation’s focus areas and so the majority of employee volunteering now takes place within schools and FE colleges throughout the UK.

Furthermore, the work of the Foundation is championed by more than 30 Foundation Ambassadors, employees of Mitie, who promote our activities and in many cases organise and run events themselves.

The Mitie Foundation is a registered charity (Charity No. 1148858) and is a company limited by guarantee registered in England and Wales (Company No. 8107587).

If you are a Mitie employee and you would like to support your local community, please contact us to see how you can get involved.
