Mitie Foundation celebrates 10th anniversary

This month marks the 10th anniversary of the Mitie Foundation, the independent charity focussed on providing varied life opportunities for disadvantaged groups. The Mitie Foundation is recognising the continuing success of its programmes, Ready2Work and Giving Back. Through the foundation, colleagues have been giving back to their local communities, completing over 106,800 hours of volunteering.

Mitie named SRAG Ambassador for inclusive recruitment

Mitie has been awarded Ambassador Level status under the Social Recruitment Advocacy Group (SRAG) Chartermark for its inclusive recruitment and community support. Mitie is one of only four organisations to achieve Ambassador Level status, a recognition that highlights Mitie’s leadership in creating employment and apprenticeship opportunities for underrepresented groups across the UK. This achievement follows the launch of Mitie’s Plan Thrive initiative, a commitment to uplift one million lives and transform 1,000 communities by 2028, and recognises the work of the Mitie Foundation which contributed to delivering £316 million in social value during FY25 alone.

Mitie becomes largest employer to secure Fair Tax Mark label

Mitie Group plc has achieved Fair Tax Mark certification across all its operations, both in the UK and internationally. Awarded by the Fair Tax Foundation, the Fair Tax Mark label is widely recognised as the gold standard for responsible tax conduct. Mitie becomes the largest company – by colleague numbers – to secure accreditation to date.

Mitie’s 2024 ESG report reveals significant progress

Mitie’s latest ESG report reveals it has met or exceeded 13 of its targets for the last Financial Year (FY24), showing exceptional commitment to sustainability and social value. Contributing to its pledge to reach net zero by 2025, Mitie cut its Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 5% and has now switched 66% of its vehicle fleet to electric. Mitie also supported over 1,200 apprentices and volunteered almost 25,000 hours to local causes through FY24.

Mitie celebrates three years on Defence Employer Recognition Scheme

Mitie celebrates its third year as a Gold Award recipient on the government’s Defence Employer Recognition Scheme, highlighting its longstanding commitment to the Armed Forces community. The Gold Award recognises Mitie’s continued support for the community through its different recruitment programmes, charity initiatives, and career support for ex-military colleagues. The ‘Mitie Military’ network provides a space for Military colleagues to connect, network, learn and receive additional support during their transition to civilian life.
