Our Enable network has been set up to raise awareness of disability-related topics across the business, while offering support and guidance to our colleagues and line managers. In supporting the equality objectives of the group Enable is committed to:
We want to ensure a better awareness and understanding of disability, giving our people the confidence to have open and honest conversations. This will be done through increasing communication on the subject using a number of channels, including email, intranet, social media, case studies and collaboration with our other inclusion networks.
We will also provide more training to develop our knowledge and understanding of disability, and use our partnership with external organisation, Remploy, to implement best practice. What’s more we will identify opportunities to break down perceptions of disability.
We will research and analyse the obstacles people with disabilities face to employment to ensure all of our procedures are supportive of a disability-friendly work environment.
