Policy implementation and development
We help to advise on policy development to ensure appropriateness and suitable language use, and to ensure policies are applied in practice.
Raising LGBT awareness
We provide all Mitie people with knowledge and resources to broaden our understanding of LGBT diversity. We also create systems for consulting and communicating with employees on LGBT matters.
Supporting LGBT employees and their allies
We provide support to not just LGBT employees, but also those who have friends or family members who identify as LGBT. We want to ensure our LGBT employees feel safe and able to be open about their sexual orientation and / or gender identity if they choose to be. We continue to do this by improving the work environment for LGBT employees by raising general awareness throughout the business.
Contributing to Mitie’s inclusion agenda
We advise on inclusion initiatives, recruitment and retention strategy to support LGBT employees. We also network with other inclusion groups to share information and best practice.
