Daisy's career development journey

I joined Mitie Client Services in July 2013 as a customer service representative for a management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company. I had a background in customer service, working in the travel and hospitality industries but did not have experience in corporate front of house.

The training I was given gave me the confidence to apply my skills in the corporate world and I was quickly promoted to manage a team of five in a media company. Through the Seven Up Leadership training programme and the ABLE Management course, I was able to hone my skills and lead a strong and motivated team. Learning and Development and our Engagement Team, where team members share ideas and have a voice, have played a huge role in my career so far within the business.

The encouragement I received from both the teams and the courses that I attended inspired me so much that in October 2014, I applied successfully to join the Learning and Development team!

After two years developing and delivering our exceptional service training programme, I’ve recently been promoted to lead the team as Head of Learning and Development and I’m so excited about the future.
