Mitie grows relationship with Scottish Government with new contract

Mitie has won a seven-year contract to provide facilities management (FM) services for 70 of the Scottish Government’s sites, including research centres and the First Minister’s residence. Elements Green signs £71.5m deal with Mitie for new substation

G2 Energy, part of Mitie Power & Grid, will be the Principal Designer and Principal Contractor on one of the UK’s largest Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) near Staythorpe Power Station in the East Midlands. Mitie will lead the design and build of the new 400kV grid substation that will connect to the neighbouring National Grid Staythorpe 400kV substation by mid-2027. Over 720MWh of energy will be stored, enough to power more than 95,000 homes for a full day.
