Expert healthcare professionals and custody detention officers

Mitie’s healthcare professionals (HCPs) and custody detention officers (CDOs) undergo comprehensive training and career development.

All HCPs are trained to Level 7 in Forensic Medicine in Custody Healthcare, accredited by University of Teesside. Many of our HCPs have also achieved the prestigious Part 1 of Licentiateship of the Faculty of Forensic & Legal Medicine in Sexual Offence Medicine (LFFLM).

Our colleagues take specialist training in managing vulnerable people, and those who work with children receive Oliver McGowan training in autism and learning difficulties. Many are also mental health first aiders.
