Hear from Mitie apprentices
“My industry qualification means I’ll never be short of work”
Imran joined Mitie as an electrical apprentice based at University College London Hospitals. He works alongside qualified engineers within a busy hospital in London where he undertakes a range of electrical maintenance tasks to ensure electrical systems are working safely and as they should be.
“I would definitely recommend an apprenticeship at Mitie. Not everyday is the same, we get to work on a lot of different things… We work as a team and the work we do is really valuable.”
“I would definitely recommend the apprenticeship path”
Shani, Stores Person at Mitie, wanted a career change but thought apprenticeships were just for school leavers. Now she’s successfully using her skills and passion for engineering, and helping to keep hospitals running smoothly.
“Prior to working for Mitie, I worked in retail. I knew I wanted to change careers, but as a mum of six, I needed to find something that gave me the balance I needed.”
Make your future Mitie
Mitie apprenticeships provide a great alternative to going to university and you will earn a competitive salary whilst you are studying.
There are many programmes to choose from and vacancies are open throughout the year. Many of our apprentices choose to continue their studies further at a higher level on completion of their apprenticeship.
Help your career take off
The length of Mitie programmes can last from 18 months up to four years, dependent on your chosen route.
You will gain a great range of work experience, skills development and a recognised qualification relevant to your programme. You will be supported each step of the way to help you get the most out of your apprenticeship.
