Yes. Mitie provides regular security patrols for vacant and vulnerable properties to deter unauthorised access, identify risks and maintain site security. Trained security officers carry out scheduled or random patrols, checking for signs of intrusion, damage, vandalism, fire hazards or other issues. Any incidents or concerns are reported promptly, enabling swift action to be taken.
When an alarm is activated, the alert is received and assessed by Mitie’s accredited Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). Where video verification is in place, operators review images of the incident to determine the most appropriate response, helping to reduce unnecessary callouts. Once an incident has been verified, Mitie coordinates the required action, including contacting keyholders, deploying security personnel or escalating the matter to the emergency services. This process minimises risk and ensures your vacant properties remain protected.
