Mitie extends relationship with FCD0 with extension of FM contract

  • Mitie has secured a two-year extension to provide total facilities management services to the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) sites in London and Hanslope Park, Milton Keynes.
  • This extends Mitie’s long-standing 15-year relationship with the department
  • Mitie colleagues will continue to provide a range of essential services to the FCDO’s sites in England, from maintenance and cleaning, to reception services and grounds maintenance

Mitie has secured a two-year contract extension to provide total facilities management (TFM) services for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) sites in London and Hanslope Park, Milton Keynes. The contract extension is for two years and will start on 1 December 2023.

As the UK’s leading facilities management company, Mitie will provide planned and reactive maintenance, cleaning, reception, helpdesk, porterage, waste management, grounds maintenance and catering – as well as supporting with project work across the FCDO’s sites. This includes the FCDO’s main building in London, Lancaster House, 1 Carlton Gardens (the official residence of the Foreign Secretary) and, the specialist 40 acre site in Hanslope Park, Milton Keynes.

Under the extended contract, Mitie will continue to invest in its people through the introduction of new training programmes as well as deliver strategic improvement activities including new technology which optimises building. Data gathered by the software can be filtered by site, building, and asset, and can be used to generate insights to identify areas for improvement to drive cost efficiencies and service enhancements.

This contract extension builds on Mitie’s long-standing relationship of 15 years with FCDO, during which time it has worked closely with the department to enhance its facilities management solutions.
