Mitie named as a transport supplier for Crown Commercial Service
- Mitie has been named as a supplier on the Transport Technology Framework to support UK public sector organisations with integrated transport solutions including transport consultancy and electric vehicle charge point installation services
- The agreement, which runs for eight years, includes transport data services, low emission vehicle charging, and environmental monitoring
- With a fleet of over 6,300 Electric Vehicle’s Mitie will use its experience in fleet electrification and charge point installation to help public sector clients develop and deliver low emission transport strategies
Mitie has been named as a supplier on Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) Transport Technology Framework (RM6347) which covers integrated transport solutions, supporting every stage from strategy and consultancy through to installation, deployment, and data management. Mitie is named on the following five lots:
- lot 1: Transport Professional Services
- lot 2: Transport Data Services
- lot 4: Environmental Monitoring & Climate Resilience
- lot 6: Zero Emission Vehicle Charging and Fuelling Infrastructure
- lot 8c: Lighting and Electrical Installation
The agreement will run for eight years, enabling Mitie to support public sector organisations with a wide range of transport and environmental consultancy and implementation services to help the public sector develop and deliver low emission transport strategies. CCS supports the public sector achieving maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services and in 2024/25 they helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits equal to £5.3 billion.
The framework, aimed at modernising transportation and creating opportunities for businesses to grow and innovate, gives the UK public sector access to transport solutions, including sustainable transport technology, mobility solutions and infrastructure support. Mitie’s consultancy has helped over 35 customers build their fleet estate decarbonisation strategies in the past three years alone, providing them with the tools and insight needed to decarbonise their operations.
With a fleet of over 6,300 EV’s, accounting for 73% of its total fleet, Mitie’s real-world experience and expertise in fleet electrification will be deployed to help public sector clients, such as local councils and central governments, to deliver transport technology planning and installation services. Using telematics, Mitie’s data-led approach means the most suitable charging solutions can be deployed and any potential risks and mitigations related to EV charging infrastructure can be identified and addressed.
