Red and gold secure Number One spot this Christmas
Mitie is installing more than 500 Christmas trees across the UK this festive season, with traditional red & gold colour schemes top choice in 2019. 30 km of lights and 87,000 baubles used to decorate trees from Aberdeen to Plymouth. New trends include sustainable Christmas tree planting and Mitie’s first Pride-themed Christmas tree.

Turning Blue Monday Green: Residents want more greenery in UK cities
This Blue Monday, two thirds (66%) of city dwellers have said they want to see more greenery where they live, work and socialise. More than half (57%) would welcome more vertical green living walls to make up for a lack of ground space. A similar number (51%) think there is currently not enough investment in urban greening.

Our accompanying survey of 100 sustainability decision makers illustrates the concerns and challenges of those on the path to net zero – together with an apparent dichotomy in the data… 84% of respondents claim they are confident they can align with the UK Government’s commitment to decarbonise by 68% compared to 1990 levels by 2030.
