Digital Tech Awards marks Mitie’s fifth award for new tech innovations

• Mitie has won the “Big Data/IoT Project of the Year” category of the prestigious Digital Technology Leaders Award for Mozaic, its analytics portal
• Award win demonstrates Mitie’s leading position in technology-led facilities management and is the fifth IT award it has received in just four months

Mitie has won the “Big Data/IoT Project of the Year” category of the Digital Technology Leaders Award for its Mozaic analytics portal. This new award is Mitie’s fifth IT recognition in just four months, consolidating Mitie’s sector leading position in technology-enabled facilities management.

The Digital Technology Leaders Award is a prestigious IT award recognising individuals and teams developing innovative solutions in one of three areas: people, society and businesses. With submissions from leading UK businesses, charities and Government bodies, the award category recognises organisations that are best embedding Internet of Things (IoT) technology in their products and business activities.

Mitie won the award for Mozaic, its online facilities management analytics portal. Mozaic is a one stop shop for clients to access comprehensive data about their sites. Users can access real-time data on how efficiently space is being used on site, as well as how the buildings’ equipment, including boilers and HVAC, is performing. By using Mozaic, customers can also raise issues and track the progress of the repair and maintenance work carried out by Mitie engineers on-site. Mozaic then notifies the user once the task has been completed, keeping a detailed activity log to improve visibility throughout the contract.

This recent award win highlights Mitie’s significant investment in sector-leading technology solutions over recent years and is one of five awards won over the past four months for IT solutions. Others include:

• Verdantix Smart Building Innovation Award (Big Data / IoT Project of the Year) for its Connected Workspace solution

• UK Digital Experience Awards (Best Website) for the revamp of the Mitie website

• Two Real IT Awards – Mozaic was the winner in the ‘Turning Data into Insight’ category, and chatbot ESME won ‘Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning Project of the Year’
