Mitie hits annual ESG targets putting it on track to meet 2025 goals

Mitie launches “Emissions Intelligence” service in partnership with Salesforce

The new managed carbon reporting and reduction service will enable organisations to have confidence that they are on track to achieve their net zero commitments and comply with regulation. Combining Mitie’s built environment and energy management expertise with Salesforce’s market-leading Net Zero Cloud ESG management platform, the end-to-end service streamlines and simplifies carbon data collection, reporting and reduction. ‘Emissions Intelligence’ is the latest addition to Mitie’s ‘Plan Zero’, a suite of services to support organisations to decarbonise, improve efficiency and secure their energy supply.

Mitie Group earns prestigious health and safety award from RoSPA

Mitie Group has won a coveted Gold RoSPA award for demonstrating commitment to health and safety through its LiveSafe programme. This marks the first year that Mitie has been recognised in its entirety as a group, having previously won Gold Awards for individual business units including Security, Communities and Waste last year, as well as a President’s Award for ten consecutive years of Gold certifications for its Sellafield nuclear site in 2023. Legislation lethargy hits UK organisations as volume and intensity of sustainability reporting increases

Wave of sustainability stress as almost two in five (38%) sustainability decision makers admit to not being clear about what they need to report on with almost half (46%) now reporting to at least three different ESG frameworks as confusion about the legislation labyrinth builds. Over a quarter (28%) say they are not sure they are equipped to comply if legislation becomes stricter and three fifths (60%) are worried about the impact on both their reputation and company finances if their reporting is found to be insufficient. Just 13% believe the current approach to reporting works, yet the majority are not in favour of a shift to sector specific reporting frameworks or a move to one single UK and EU-wide standard.
