Mitie boosts engineering leadership with two new appointments
Mitie today announces two new appointments in Engineering Services and Integrated Facilities Management (IFM). Kerry Sheehan will become Managing Director of Mobile Engineering and Kath Fontana will fill a new role as Managing Director of Strategic Accounts, Public Sector and Critical Infrastructure. These senior hires will further drive Mitie’s transformation within the Engineering and IFM business.

When Open AI’s ChatGPT achieved over 100m monthly users in six months, it demonstrated the appetite for generative artificial intelligence (AI). Tech giant Microsoft had already invested $1bn (£784m) in the company back in 2019. That figure has since soared to $13bn (£10.2bn). The sentiment couldn’t be clearer: “We knew it was going to be big. Mitie has launched its new podcast series ‘The Science of Service Podcast: Facilities Transformation’. Over six episodes, listeners will get unique insight into the future of the facilities management industry, hearing from industry experts and leading voices from Mitie and its customers, including Royal London and Eurostar International. The first of the six episodes is available now, with subsequent episodes released fortnightly on all major podcast platforms.

Mitie welcomes over 200 colleagues to apprenticeship programmes
Mitie has welcomed three new apprenticeship cohorts to its business in the past week 222 colleagues, new and existing, have been enrolled onto either Women in Leadership, Data, or Engineering programmes. The apprenticeships span technical, digital, and leadership roles, supporting career progression across the entire business.

Mitie appoints Kathryn Dolan as Chief People Officer
Mitie has announced the appointment of its new Chief People Officer, Kathryn Dolan, who joins from Bureau Veritas. Kathryn will be leading all aspects of the People and Culture strategy across Mitie’s 72,000 strong workforce. She will also join Mitie’s Group Executive Team to lead the delivery of Mitie’s best-in-class People strategy.

Mitie Document Management wins digital contract with Addleshaw Goddard
Premium international law firm Addleshaw Goddard has awarded Mitie a new five-year contract to digitise document management services. Mitie will be implementing a Digitisation Roadmap to support the client in reducing paper use. Contract covers sites in England and Scotland.
