Mitie helps Aon achieve prestigious Secured Environments accreditation
Mitie Security has assisted Aon in achieving the Secured Environments accreditation for Aon’s Global HQ in London. The Aon Centre, located in the iconic Leadenhall Building, is only the second site in the City of London to achieve this award. Accreditation officially awarded at a ceremony presented by City of London Police Commissioner, Ian Dyson.

Mitie appoints Kathryn Dolan as Chief People Officer
Mitie has announced the appointment of its new Chief People Officer, Kathryn Dolan, who joins from Bureau Veritas. Kathryn will be leading all aspects of the People and Culture strategy across Mitie’s 72,000 strong workforce. Mitie Defence Ltd has been awarded a new £150 million contract by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO). The contract will provide a range of facilities management services such as maintenance, repairs and services as well as waste disposal and laundry services. This contract will introduce new asset management technology to improve the lived experience of those on site.

Mitie appointed to NHS London Procurement Partnership FM Framework
Mitie has been appointed by the NHS London Procurement Partnership (NHS LPP) to a new Total Facilities Management Framework to support the provision of facilities management services. This agreement enables Mitie to bid on contracts across six lots, covering hard, soft and total facilities management, cleaning, catering and security services. Mitie’s four year agreement with NHS LPP enables it to tender for contracts across England.

Mitie has welcomed three new apprenticeship cohorts to its business in the past week 222 colleagues, new and existing, have been enrolled onto either Women in Leadership, Data, or Engineering programmes. The apprenticeships span technical, digital, and leadership roles, supporting career progression across the entire business.

Mitie enrols first learners on the new Cleaning Hygiene Level 2 apprenticeship
Mitie confirms the enrolment of 20 learners for its new Cleaning Hygiene Operative Level 2 apprenticeship programme. The new apprenticeship standard for the cleaning and hygiene sector will offer specialised training and development opportunities for colleagues in the early stages of their careers. Mitie’s new cleaning apprenticeship offering follows the Professional Security Operative (PSO) Level 2 Apprenticeship which was launched in August last year.

Mitie bolsters risk credentials with new industry certification
Mitie continues to bolster its risk management expertise with the attainment of the ISO 22301 certification. Mitie underwent rigorous auditing across the business, including operational functions, locations and customer accounts, before being recommended for the ISO 22301 certification. Its recent acquisition of Linx International Group adds further risk expertise to its customer offering.
