Mitie named as supplier for Crown Commercial Service
Mitie has been named as a supplier on Management Consultancy Framework Four enabling it to support UK public sector organisations with environment and sustainability consultancy. Under the framework, Mitie can bid for contracts to provide services including emissions monitoring, waste management, and regulatory compliance. The agreement, which runs for two years, positions Mitie on Lot 9 – Environment and Sustainability – allowing it to support public sector organisations in achieving their net zero goals.

Mitie worked with humanitarian partners Stronghold Global to pack an articulated lorry full of essential hygiene equipment supplies. Equipment including sanitiser, gloves, and coveralls has been transported to the GE Operator Humanitarian Centre in Warsaw from Mitie’s warehouse in Swindon.

Mitie celebrates three years as a Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer
Mitie has been named a Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer for the third consecutive year, progressing from 80th to 52nd place. The recognition reflects Mitie’s commitment to developing its colleagues through apprenticeships with over 1,300 Level 2-7 apprentices working across the business. This inclusion follows a number of other recent accreditations highlighting Mitie’s commitment to its colleagues, including being named a UK Top Employer for six years running in January.

Mitie secures new contract with Department for Transport
Mitie has been awarded a new £297 million contract with the Department for Transport (DfT) following a competitive procurement process. Building on its existing 12-year partnership with DfT, Mitie will deliver integrated facilities management (IFM) services including cleaning, security, energy management and planned and reactive building maintenance across over 800 of DfT’s sites nationwide. The new contract will see Mitie introduce innovative technology to support DfT in meeting its decarbonisation goals.

Mitie shifts up a gear with Toyota IFM contract extension
Mitie has extended its integrated facilities management contract with Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK (TMUK) for an additional five years, building on a successful partnership established in 2019. The contract will see Mitie continue to provide vital engineering, cleaning & hygiene, and landscaping services as well as supporting the specialist production operations at Toyota’s manufacturing plant. Mitie is also supporting Toyota’s sustainability goals, having already helped reduce domestic water on-site.

Mitie enrols first learners on the new Cleaning Hygiene Level 2 apprenticeship
Mitie confirms the enrolment of 20 learners for its new Cleaning Hygiene Operative Level 2 apprenticeship programme. The new apprenticeship standard for the cleaning and hygiene sector will offer specialised training and development opportunities for colleagues in the early stages of their careers. Mitie’s new cleaning apprenticeship offering follows the Professional Security Operative (PSO) Level 2 Apprenticeship which was launched in August last year.
