Mitie gets onboard with new South Western Railway contract
Mitie has been awarded a new £6 million contract with South Western Railway (SWR) for up to three-years. Mitie will provide security guarding and intelligence services across SWR’s network, including stations, depots and security control centres from Devon to London. With its intelligence-led approach to security and Merlin 24/7 software, Mitie will transition SWR to a fully digital security incident reporting system.

Mitie lands security contract extension at Birmingham Airport
Mitie extends its 13-year partnership with Birmingham Airport for an additional two years, continuing to deliver critical security and baggage screening services. The contract extension has created 60 new security officer roles across airport operations and includes additional security support for the transformation of the airport’s terminal building. Mitie will continue to support Birmingham Airport’s chosen charity, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, as part of its commitment to the local community.
