Mitie secures FM contract with Kingston and Richmond NHS Trust

Mitie has secured a new £27 million facilities management contract with Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust, delivering intelligence-led cleaning, portering and waste management services. Introducing electric portering vehicles and cutting carbon emissions through local supply chains, Mitie is supporting the Trust’s Green Plan and wider NHS Net Zero ambitions. The contract reflects Mitie’s commitment to uplift people and places through skills development, education and employment pathways for the local community.

Mitie and Zestec drive renewable energy initiative at LEGOLAND

Mitie is installing a solar carport at LEGOLAND® Windsor, developed and financed under Zestec Renewable Energy’s contract with Merlin Attractions Operations, generating over 1.1 million kWh annually and saving 195 tonnes of carbon emissions each year. The solar energy will power the Legoland Resort and its new Woodland Village – LEGOLAND® Windsor and Merlin Entertainments’ first operationally carbon-neutral guest accommodation – and provide shaded parking for guests. The project reflects Mitie and Zestec’s ongoing relationship to develop sustainable infrastructure and commitments to decarbonise the UK’s built environment.

Mitie wins Barking, Havering and Redbridge NHS Trust contracts

Mitie has secured an £11.8 million contract with Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust (BHRUT), supporting patient-centric services across five healthcare sites. The contract includes cleaning, reception, security, waste management, shuttle bus operations and patient catering, plus service enhancements such as click-and-collect catering and smart portering technology. Jobs and apprenticeships will be created for local residents as well as a commitment to 300 hours’ volunteering each year to uplift lives, through mentoring, education and supporting local healthcare charities.
