Mitie lands contract extensions at four UK airports
Mitie has extended its relationship with four UK airports – Manchester, East Midlands, London Stansted and Belfast City Airport – until March 2025, underpinning its sector expertise in the Aviation sector. The services include security, screening, cleaning, technical services and waste operations across the busy sites, keeping these functional, clean and safe for the millions of passengers they welcome each year. These contract extensions build on the strong and long-standing partnership between Mitie and the airports.

Mitie takes first IFM step in pharmaceuticals with GlaxoSmithKline
GlaxoSmithKline Manufacturing Supply Chains has awarded Mitie a five-year contract to deliver fully integrated facilities management services in the UK & Ireland. This is the first major fully integrated facilities management contract for Mitie within the pharmaceutical sector and will include engineering, cleaning, catering and scientific services. Innovation will drive Mitie’s approach to the contract, with GSK benefiting from Mitie’s industry leading electric vehicle strategy.

Mitie makes a splash with new Yorkshire Water contract
Mitie has been awarded a new three-year contract to deliver grounds maintenance services for Yorkshire Water. As part of the contract Mitie will deliver landscaping services including grass cutting, hedge maintenance, tree management, weed control, adverse weather services, and sustainable drainage systems management. Mitie will bring its ‘Live Landscapes’ intelligent technology to the contract.

Delivered by PerpetuityARC Training, part of Mitie Intelligence Services, this qualification provides essential foundational training to help prepare individuals and organisations ahead of the implementation of Martyn’s Law.

Mitie gets onboard with new South Western Railway contract
Mitie has been awarded a new £6 million contract with South Western Railway (SWR) for up to three-years. Mitie will provide security guarding and intelligence services across SWR’s network, including stations, depots and security control centres from Devon to London. With its intelligence-led approach to security and Merlin 24/7 software, Mitie will transition SWR to a fully digital security incident reporting system.

Mitie wins two multimillion pound contracts with National Grid
Mitie has secured two new multimillion pound contracts to deliver hard and soft facilities management services for National Grid, the owner of the UK’s electricity network. During the five-year contracts, Mitie will provide a range of services including engineering, maintenance, asset management, cleaning, security, and project work. Mitie will deliver these services at over 260 sites nationwide.

Mitie accelerates Groupe PSA contract with £5.2m extension
Mitie secures a two-year extension to its engineering and FM contracts for Groupe PSA’s Luton and Coventry sites, building on a 10-year relationship with the vehicle manufacturer. The extension adds cleaning and waste management to the services Mitie already delivers at Groupe PSA’s sites in Luton, Toddington and Ellesmere Port.
