Mitie shifts up a gear with Toyota IFM contract extension
Mitie has extended its integrated facilities management contract with Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK (TMUK) for an additional five years, building on a successful partnership established in 2019. The contract will see Mitie continue to provide vital engineering, cleaning & hygiene, and landscaping services as well as supporting the specialist production operations at Toyota’s manufacturing plant. Mitie is also supporting Toyota’s sustainability goals, having already helped reduce domestic water on-site.

Mitie named ‘Fleet of the Year’ at the Fleet News Awards
Mitie has won the ‘Fleet of the Year (more than 1,000 vehicles)’ category at the Fleet News Awards 2023 for the third year running. Mitie was also highly commended in the ‘Environmental Fleet of the Year’ category, in recognition of its continued progress transforming its fleet to be fully electric by 2025. Mitie now has over 3,000 EVs in its fleet and installed over 2,000 EV charging points across its colleagues’ homes and customers’ sites.

Mitie wins contract for UK’s all-electric Immigration Removal Centre
Mitie has been awarded a six-year contract with the Home Office to run the new Campsfield Immigration Removal Centre (IRC). Mitie colleagues will oversee the everyday running of the IRC including Custody & Detention and Welfare services, whilst preparations are made for residents’ removal from the UK. Campsfield will house 400 residents and will be the first all-electric IRC in the UK.

Mitie secures Great Western Railway contract for FM
The four-year contract will cover facilities management, maintenance and new installations across the Great Western Railway (GWR) estate, a key part of the UK’s transport infrastructure. It includes over 200 stations and six depots from London to Penzance, including South Wales, the West Country and the Cotswolds. A dedicated engineering solution has been developed for the contract and Mitie’s team will also support with GWR’s energy reduction programmes.
