Mitie named SRAG Ambassador for inclusive recruitment
Mitie has been awarded Ambassador Level status under the Social Recruitment Advocacy Group (SRAG) Chartermark for its inclusive recruitment and community support. Mitie is one of only four organisations to achieve Ambassador Level status, a recognition that highlights Mitie’s leadership in creating employment and apprenticeship opportunities for underrepresented groups across the UK. This achievement follows the launch of Mitie’s Plan Thrive initiative, a commitment to uplift one million lives and transform 1,000 communities by 2028, and recognises the work of the Mitie Foundation which contributed to delivering £316 million in social value during FY25 alone.

Mitie has secured a contract worth up to £68.5 million with Central London Community Healthcare NHS (CLCH) to provide facilities management and catering services. The integrated FM contract covers 290 sites in London and Hertfordshire and includes security, cleaning, compliance, help desk support, pest control, catering and estate management. The contract reflects Mitie and CLCH’S commitment to sustainability and social value through the deployment of electric vehicles and enhanced access to apprenticeship opportunities.

Mitie’s latest ESG report outlines the positive progress towards ambitious goals across its four social value pillars – Environment, People, Community, and Responsible Supply Chain. Mitie’s 2024 ESG report reveals significant progress
Mitie’s latest ESG report reveals it has met or exceeded 13 of its targets for the last Financial Year (FY24), showing exceptional commitment to sustainability and social value. Contributing to its pledge to reach net zero by 2025, Mitie cut its Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 5% and has now switched 66% of its vehicle fleet to electric. Mitie also supported over 1,200 apprentices and volunteered almost 25,000 hours to local causes through FY24.

Mitie secures IFM contract with the Intellectual Property Office
Mitie has secured a new £12 million three-year contract with the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) to provide integrated facilities management services across its two sites in Newport, Wales. Mitie will bring new technology, innovation and efficiencies to the IPO’s estate and is committed to helping the IPO meet its net zero goals. Mitie is also supporting the Newport region through social value initiatives like ‘spring cleans’, hosting careers fairs at local schools and increasing recruitment from the local community into apprenticeships in FM.

Mitie secures new IFM contract with London South Bank University Group
Mitie has been awarded a contract with London South Bank University (LSBU) Group to deliver integrated facilities management services for five years, with the option to extend for a further two. Delivering services across LSBU and South Bank College’s estates, this is the first time that all FM services across the university group will be brought together under one provider. Mitie’s social value approach will be key to the contract, including introducing apprentices and work placement opportunities for local residents.
