Mitie secures new IFM contract with Staffordshire Police
Mitie has secured a new £20 million contract with Staffordshire Police to provide facilities management services covering custody suites, emergency contact centres, and training and operational hubs. Services include engineering, decarbonisation, cleaning and hygiene, landscaping, and waste and environmental management over the five-year contract. This partnership reflects Mitie and Staffordshire Police’s commitment to sustainability and investment in the local community.

Andy Burnham unveils Mitie’s new northern technology hub
Mitie has unveiled its new Technical Services Operations Centre (TSOC) in Wythenshawe, Greater Manchester, showcasing its cutting-edge workplace technology. Officially opened by Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater Manchester, the TSOC is Mitie’s new Hub for the North of England. The new site marks Mitie’s significant investment in the region, with the facility supporting 400 local jobs and apprenticeships, many of which are specialist technical roles.

Andy Street officially opens Mitie’s state-of-the-art Midlands Hub
Andy Street, Mayor of the West Midlands, has officially opened Mitie’s Midlands Hub in Bickenhill, Birmingham. As well as the base for Mitie’s Central Government & Defence business, the Hub is also home to Mitie’s Cleaning and Hygiene Centre of Excellence (CHCE), which showcases the latest innovations in cleaning science and technology. Mitie has over 3,800 colleagues based in the West Midlands, including 70 local apprentices.

Mitie kicks off facilities management contract with Swansea University
Mitie has kicked off a new five-year contract to deliver facilities management services – including cleaning, waste management and grounds maintenance – for Swansea University. The contract, which has the option to extend for up to four more years, is worth £2.4 million a year and will see Mitie deliver services for all of the University’s buildings. Using its sustainability and waste management expertise, Mitie has committed to only using cleaning products with reduced packaging as well as helping Swansea University cut waste across all of its sites.
