Mitie extends relationship with FCD0 with extension of FM contract
Mitie has secured a two-year extension to provide total facilities management services to the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) sites in London and Hanslope Park, Milton Keynes. This extends Mitie’s long-standing 15-year relationship with the department. Mitie colleagues will continue to provide a range of essential services to the FCDO’s sites in England, from maintenance and cleaning, to reception services and grounds maintenance.

Mitie takes first IFM step in pharmaceuticals with GlaxoSmithKline
GlaxoSmithKline Manufacturing Supply Chains has awarded Mitie a five-year contract to deliver fully integrated facilities management services in the UK & Ireland. This is the first major fully integrated facilities management contract for Mitie within the pharmaceutical sector and will include engineering, cleaning, catering and scientific services. Mitie accelerates Groupe PSA contract with £5.2m extension
Mitie secures a two-year extension to its engineering and FM contracts for Groupe PSA’s Luton and Coventry sites, building on a 10-year relationship with the vehicle manufacturer. The extension adds cleaning and waste management to the services Mitie already delivers at Groupe PSA’s sites in Luton, Toddington and Ellesmere Port.

Mitie expands support for UK defence with new Landmarc contract win
Landmarc Support Services, a joint venture between Mitie and Amentum, has been awarded a seven year £560m contract to manage the UK land on which thousands of Armed Forces personnel train. As well as core services, such as facilities management, rural estate management and operational services, an estimated £800m of additional works could also be delivered as part of the contract. Mitie has several contracts to support the UK defence sector, including a recent award to deliver facilities management services across the MOD estate in Cyprus – building on its existing support in Gibraltar, the Falkland Islands and Ascension Island – and its contract to deliver maintenance services for sites across Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Mitie boosts engineering leadership with two new appointments
Mitie today announces two new appointments in Engineering Services and Integrated Facilities Management (IFM). Kerry Sheehan will become Managing Director of Mobile Engineering and Kath Fontana will fill a new role as Managing Director of Strategic Accounts, Public Sector and Critical Infrastructure.
