Mitie has been appointed to the new NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) Sustainable Transport and Infrastructure framework agreement. Covering two lots, Mitie will be able to deliver sustainable transport consultancy and charging infrastructure installation services to a range of public sector organisations. The appointment is underscored by Mitie’s strong EV credentials, boasting one of the largest electric fleets in the UK.

Mitie’s Security Radar reveals key industry challenges
New research from Mitie reveals that almost a quarter (24%) of security decision-makers are unsure how their organisation will be impacted by upcoming legislation, whilst a third (33%) say the limited pool of applicants is a barrier to hiring quality professionals. Mitie strengthens Thales UK partnership with contract extension
Mitie has secured a seven-year contract extension, worth £17 million per year, with Thales in the UK, part of the global technology group with markets in the defence and security, aerospace and space, digital identity and security. The contract will see Mitie deliver integrated facilities management services, including energy management, cleaning, landscaping and security across 16 Thales sites across the UK, including its Reading headquarters. Bringing its technology-led approach to facilities transformation, Mitie will install over 4,000 new sensors across the Thales estate to reduce the downtime and energy use of critical building systems, like heating and ventilation.

Mitie appointed to NHS London Procurement Partnership FM Framework
Mitie has been appointed by the NHS London Procurement Partnership (NHS LPP) to a new Total Facilities Management Framework to support the provision of facilities management services. This agreement enables Mitie to bid on contracts across six lots, covering hard, soft and total facilities management, cleaning, catering and security services. Mitie’s four year agreement with NHS LPP enables it to tender for contracts across England.

Mitie has pledged £2 million in Apprenticeship Levy gifting funds, supporting a range of organisations across the UK to develop future talent. With a targeted approach to gifting, since 2021 Mitie has been supporting local communities, groups with barriers to employment, and smaller organisations in the industries it works in. Mitie’s most recent collaboration is with the Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership to support apprenticeship schemes for women in STEM roles.
