Mitie helps Aon achieve prestigious Secured Environments accreditation

Mitie Security has assisted Aon in achieving the Secured Environments accreditation for Aon’s Global HQ in London. The Aon Centre, located in the iconic Leadenhall Building, is only the second site in the City of London to achieve this award. Accreditation officially awarded at a ceremony presented by City of London Police Commissioner, Ian Dyson.

Mitie awarded new £500m IFM Cumbria Consortium contract

Mitie has been awarded a new IFM contract by the Cumbria Consortium, which includes Sellafield Ltd, worth up to £500m. A five-year contract, with the option to extend for up to five more years, Mitie will be providing engineering, maintenance, cleaning, security, waste, grounds maintenance and catering services. Mitie has supported Sellafield since 2003, building on its initial cleaning contract to now provide a full IFM service across its sites, as well as other locations in Cumbria and Warrington included in the Cumbria Consortium.

Mitie expands mobile telecoms capability with the 8point8 acquisition

Mitie Group plc (“Mitie”) announces today that it has acquired 8point8 Support Limited, 8point8 Training Limited and Vantage Solutions Limited (collectively “8point8”), a leading provider of design and construction services in the UK, predominantly for mobile telecoms tower infrastructure. Total consideration is £10m and the acquisition will be accretive to earnings and funded through existing facilities.

Mitie retains MoD Gold Award for defence community commitment

Mitie has been revalidated as a Gold Award recipient on the Ministry of Defence’s (MoD) Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) for a further five years, reaffirming its commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community. Since first receiving the Gold Level accreditation in 2020, Mitie has supported over 1,000 colleagues in its Military Network through career guidance, employment opportunities and charity initiatives. Mitie helps Royal Mail Group sign, seal and deliver energy savings

Mitie, in partnership with EEVS, has worked with Royal Mail Group to achieve energy savings of 16.69 gigawatt hours (GWh) in just 12 months. The partnership aims to reduce the Group’s annual energy consumption by 15% by 2026 and is primarily focused on the identification and delivery of no cost or low-cost energy conservation measures. The savings have been verified by EEVS, the UK’s leading independent verifier for commercial energy and carbon saving schemes.
