60 bright sparks join Mitie’s apprenticeship charge
Mitie has welcomed 60 new apprentices as part of its #SignupSkillup programme, which focuses on recruiting individuals at the start of their career into apprenticeships. The new recruits are based throughout the UK, from Plymouth to Glasgow, and hold a variety of roles, including electrical and building services, project management, quantity surveying, business administration, and customer service. Mitie takes off with £3 million contract renewal at Bristol Airport
Mitie has renewed its baggage screening contract with Bristol Airport for three years, with the option to extend for a further two years, following a competitive retender process. The new contract, worth £1 million a year, builds on Mitie’s experience delivering services for the airport for over 20 years.

Mitie gets onboard with new Associated British Ports security contract
Mitie has won a three-year contract to deliver security services for Associated British Ports (ABP), the UK’s leading ports group. The contract will see Mitie deliver security services, including staffed guarding and passenger searches and screening, for all of ABP’s 21 ports in England, Scotland and Wales.

Mitie awarded new contract with DVLA
Mitie has secured a new five-year contract, worth £81.7 million, with the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), with the option to extend for an additional two years. Mitie will be responsible for planned and reactive engineering maintenance across 12 buildings at DVLA sites in Wales, bringing its innovative approach to remote maintenance. In addition, Mitie is delivering decarbonisation projects including installing ground source heat pumps across DVLA sites to help the Agency to meet its Greening Government Commitments.
