Mitie marks 5,000 electric vehicles milestone

The vehicle was unveiled at its Shard headquarters, and will be used by mobile engineers working across Mitie’s government contracts in London. Mitie has been named the winner in three categories at the Retail Fraud Awards, including ‘Most Innovative Retail Risk Management Solutions’, ‘Best Collaborative Retail Risk’ and ‘Risk Management Rising Star of the Year’. Mitie extends relationship with FCD0 with extension of FM contract
Mitie has secured a two-year extension to provide total facilities management services to the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) sites in London and Hanslope Park, Milton Keynes. This extends Mitie’s long-standing 15-year relationship with the department. Mitie colleagues will continue to provide a range of essential services to the FCDO’s sites in England, from maintenance and cleaning, to reception services and grounds maintenance.

Mitie secures IFM contract with the Intellectual Property Office
Mitie has secured a new £12 million three-year contract with the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) to provide integrated facilities management services across its two sites in Newport, Wales. Mitie will bring new technology, innovation and efficiencies to the IPO’s estate and is committed to helping the IPO meet its net zero goals. Mitie is also supporting the Newport region through social value initiatives like ‘spring cleans’, hosting careers fairs at local schools and increasing recruitment from the local community into apprenticeships in FM.

Mitie wins security contract for UK Westfield shopping centres
Mitie has won a new three-year security contract with Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield in the UK. The contract will see Mitie colleagues deliver security services, including site patrols and control room management, for Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City, Europe’s two largest shopping centres. Technology and sustainability will be central to the contract, with Mitie committing to using electric vehicles and sustainable uniforms, as well as rolling out its Merlin 24/7 technology solution.
