Mitie’s Security Radar reveals key industry challenges

New research from Mitie reveals that almost a quarter (24%) of security decision-makers are unsure how their organisation will be impacted by upcoming legislation, whilst a third (33%) say the limited pool of applicants is a barrier to hiring quality professionals. The research identifies the key challenges and opportunities security leaders are grappling with including technology and AI, attracting and upskilling talent, and evolving legislation. Mitie’s new Security Radar report addresses these challenges and offers insight into building organisational resilience from security experts and industry leaders including the British Transport Police’s Chief Constable, Lucy D’Orsi and counter-terrorism campaigner, Figen Murray OBE.

As workplaces step up to cater for five generations, Mitie’s new report reveals employers are balancing how workspaces are used and perceived to support a range of needs. All generations want to get the best out of technology with four in five (81%) workers saying workplace technology could be improved and calls from both Gen Z and Gen X for training to help maximise the use of available tools. Seven in ten (70%) of Gen Z believe workplace technology is effective in enhancing their productivity and almost as many, three in five (60%) of Gen X agree but they have different preferences for using it.
