Mitie on track with new five-year TfL partnership
- Mitie has secured a new five-year contract, with Transport for London (TfL)
- Mitie will provide mechanical, electrical, fabric and fire safety maintenance at critical head office sites and key transport hubs across London, as well the London Transport Museum
- This partnership builds on Mitie’s existing relationship with TfL which provides security services to the transport body
Mitie has been awarded a new contract with Transport for London (TfL) to provide maintenance services across its estate, including critical head office sites and key operational locations. The contract spans five years, with the option to extend for a further two years.
Mitie will provide maintenance services at 32 head office sites and over 200 key Road, Bus & River (RBR) TfL sites across London, including the Woolwich Ferry Depot, Victoria Coach Station and the London Transport Museum. The contract, which includes 86 colleagues transferring to Mitie, will see Mitie help maintain TfL’s tram depot in Croydon, its Dial-a-Ride services and a number of river piers, bus stations and tram stops.
Mitie’s services are designed to maintain and enhance each individual site, delivering mechanical and electrical engineering services as well as fire safety, water and gas safety. Mitie has developed bespoke, dedicated solutions to support the needs of TfL’s diverse sites across Greater London. This ranges from ring-fenced engineering teams focused on specific critical head offices, through to mobile solutions to support the city’s bus stations and driver welfare facilities. Mitie will also provide fabric services whereby its responsible for repairing and preserving the design and structure of TfL buildings.
This sees Mitie build on its established relationship with TfL, having its security contract since 2017 which currently employs 165 Mitie colleagues to protect both people and places.
