Water services: Emergencies

To speak to Mitie Water Services in an emergency, please contact us on 0845 8697 914, 09:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday.

If you have a water supply or wastewater emergency or experience an unexpected change in water and / or sewerage services, it is often best to contact your wholesale provider. While this is normally the organisation identified on your bill, wastewater and water providers may sometimes differ.

Water issues?

Problems with the UK water network are thankfully rare – but they do happen.

The water supply can sometimes be turned off for scheduled mains upgrade works. These are usually planned well in advance, so your wholesaler should keep you informed of upcoming interruptions.

Unexpected emergency works can of course impact your water supply without prior warning. If this is the case, contact your wholesaler directly.

There are a range of reasons why your water may be flowing fast or slow. Again, it’s best to contact your wholesaler if you’re experiencing water pressure problems.

Water can occasionally appear milky or discoloured. Usually this is normal and the water remains perfectly safe. However, if your water develops a new taste or smell that is particularly strong, please contact your wholesaler.
