Mitie secures spot on the Crown Commercial Service’s Healthcare Soft FM Services Framework
- Mitie has been appointed to the Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) Healthcare Soft Facilities Management (FM) Services Framework agreement to support the delivery of FM services to the NHS and other healthcare organisations
- Under this framework agreement, Mitie will be able to bid for contracts across 12 lots of services covering cleaning (both general and ambulance cleaning), catering, landscaping, and waste management services
- This follows Mitie’s recent appointment as supplier on the NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) Sustainable Transport and Infrastructure framework agreement
Mitie has been awarded a place on the Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) Healthcare Soft Facilities Management (FM) Framework agreement for a period of three years with an option to extend for a further year.
As part of the framework agreement, Mitie will be able to bid for contracts which support the provision of healthcare soft FM services to the NHS and other organisations in the healthcare industry including NHS Hospital Trusts, Community Health Trusts, Mental Health Trusts and General Practices. This includes 12 lots of services covering cleaning (both general and ambulance cleaning), catering, landscaping, and waste management services. Mitie will offer an intelligence-led approach to FM services including demand-led cleaning services to ensure clinical spaces meet industry cleaning standards giving patients healthy and hygienic environments to support their care.
Mitie will also offer its sustainability credentials to healthcare organisations via the CCS Framework. Under the agreement, Mitie will have the opportunity to work with healthcare service providers to help them achieve their net zero targets by supporting them with a range of decarbonisation services. This includes promoting and implementing sustainable working practices such as reducing the use of single-use plastics, protecting and restoring ecosystems, and adopting energy efficient practices.
This framework underpins Mitie’s expertise in providing a wide range of FM services to support the NHS and reinforces its position as a key government supplier. This announcement follows Mitie’s recent appointment as supplier on the NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) Sustainable Transport and Infrastructure framework agreement. The NHS SBS framework enables Mitie to bid for contracts and projects to deliver the consultancy, planning, and installation of sustainable transport infrastructure such as electric vehicle charging for the NHS and other public sector organisations.
Alice Woodwark, Managing Director, Communities, Mitie, said:
“We’re pleased to have been appointed to the Crown Commercial Service’s Healthcare Soft Facilities Management Framework. This appointment highlights our public sector expertise and our strong commitment to delivering FM services to support the critical needs of the NHS and other healthcare organisations.”
