Mitie has been providing security services, such as access control, at the airport for eight years. As part of its baggage screening service, Mitie will monitor thousands of pieces of check-in luggage for passengers flying from Birmingham Airport every day. With safety of passengers and employees the priority, the screening will allow Mitie to check that prohibited items, such as flammable liquids, are not loaded onto aircraft.
