Mitie HQ, The Shard – Workplace Design and Relocation
The challenge
Mitie as a client
Mitie’s strategic and operational staff were dispersed across three London office locations. To operate as “One Mitie” it was decided to consolidate into a single location, reducing square footage whilst improving utilisation and building user satisfaction. There was an additional requirement to showcase Mitie’s technology capability through the Connected Workspace.
Solution
The project included:
- Staff travel patterns analysis to identifying suitable locations
- Design and delivery of a Mitie Workplace Strategy
- Design and agreement of the design floorplate
- Complete fit-out
- Implementation of workplace change management.
The final recommended solution was designed to meet Mitie’s current and future operational needs.
Outcome
Mitie moved 600 people into the iconic “Shard” building supporting fully flexible working featuring a workspace with innovative design, Connected Workspace integration and industry leading audio-visual capabilities.
The use of Agile Workplace principles and Wellbeing best practices, during the design and build programme, ensured a smooth relocation and business continuity.
Proactive programme management ensured delivery on time, to cost and to the highest standards.
