Partnerships and responsible supply chain progress

FY26 was a year of significant advancement for Mitie’s responsible supply chain, defined by the completion of a major integration programme, the launch of our Sustainability and Social Value Supplier Charter, and continued progress in embedding ESG expectations across our supplier base.

Mitie launched a pioneering Sustainability and Social Value Supplier Charter in March 2026. Sponsored from the outset by the Group Procurement Director, the Charter is already being embedded, with early commitments from suppliers supporting Plan Thrive and Plan Zero pledges.

The Charter sets a clear framework across five principles: climate action & environmental responsibility; inclusive employment & skills development; community engagement & place-based impact; ethical business practices; and collaboration & continuous improvement.

We expanded our ESG rating integration into our Digital Supplier Platform in FY26, enabling automated supplier sustainability data flows as part of the ESG and Social Value rollout.

Partnering with our accreditation suppliers, we extended targeted support to SMEs and VCSEs, with additional training and resources.

As we move Marlowe’s supplier base onto Mitie’s systems and ways of working, we are integrating them into our Supplier Management Framework, a significant undertaking given the scale of the acquisition. We have exceeded our VCSE and SME spend targets for the year. Supply chain emissions continued to fall, supported by improved supplier data quality and deeper engagement with our strategic partners on science-based targets.
