Volunteering and community investment
In FY26, colleague volunteering reached a record 35,706 hours, significantly exceeding our 25,000 target and building on the 32,512 hours delivered in FY25, reflecting continued growth in colleague engagement. These hours supported a wide range of community initiatives, from educational and employability programmes to environmental projects and local clean-ups. Through our MyCommunity campaign, we continue to strengthen connections in the places we work, reinforcing the role our colleagues play in building stronger communities.
Six years of growing impact
Since the Giving Back initiative was introduced in FY20 by the Mitie Foundation, we have exceeded our volunteering targets in every single year. In FY26, we surpassed our target by more than 10,000 hours (our largest-ever margin of outperformance), continuing a consistent trend of exceeding targets year-on-year.
