Our progress

In the first nine months since launch, Plan Thrive has made strong and measurable progress towards its three-year ambitions.  We have uplifted 265,000 lives, reflecting the breadth of our impact across colleagues and communities, including employment, apprenticeships, inclusive hiring, wellbeing support and volunteering activity, alongside targeted community engagement programmes.  We have also delivered tangible social value activities in 404 places, creating opportunity and supporting development in and around our customer sites, offices and community outreach locations, and demonstrating the reach of our place-based approach.

This early progress has been underpinned by significant investment in capability, including the growth of a dedicated social value function spanning partnerships, supply chain, bidding and delivery, impact measurement and colleague engagement.  Alongside this, we have built a growing community of practice across Mitie, mobilising social value managers, advocates and colleagues, while strengthening collaboration with customers and suppliers to scale delivery.  We have also continued to shape and support the wider sector through active participation in national forums, including the National Social Value Taskforce and the Social Value Commission, helping to advance best practice, policy and standards. Together, these foundations position Plan Thrive for continued scale and impact as we progress towards our commitments to uplift one million lives and enable 1,000 places to prosper.
